BIOL - 6320 Land Use Planning (3) Introduces students to theories, tools, concepts and regulations related to land use planning. The class will cover the history of land ownership, use and regulation in the United States; how planning and zoning tools are used to regulate land use; and how laws, regulations and political factors influence land use planning and zoning. Integrating bioconservation and land use planning, and case studies in the Chicago metropolitan area will be emphasized. Prerequisite: BIOL 7400
