POJS - 7400 Sexual Politics (3) Examines the major theoretical approaches used in the sociology of sexuality and gender. Analyzes the ways in which social institutions regulate the social construction of sexuality, with attention to gender, races, and class differences in sexuality experiences. Examines the regulation of sexual and gender expressions through institutions and social norms. Equivalent to POJS-840. Prerequisite: take PSJS-6100 .
