CDIS - 8200 Foundations of Clinical Practice (3)

Facilitates the development of clinical decision-making skills. Topics include scope of practice in speech-language pathology, ethics, problem solving in assessment and management, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Linguistic and cultural diversity, federal and state laws and regulations, and policies and procedures relevant to specific work settings also are reviewed. Instructional Method: Lecture-Discussion, Supervisory. Terms Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer. Prerequisite: Admission to Candidacy.
