ART - 3105 Gender and Sexuality in Art (3)


Examines the impact of gender and sexuality on the production, reception, and cultural understanding of the visual arts. Studies various artists known for addressing issues of gender and sexual identity in their work, and the impact of their work on society. Explores the historical and contemporary stereotypes and assumptions - as well as modes of practice and representation - associated with gender and sexuality, through an intersectional lens. Instructional Method: Face-to-Face Fall, Spring, or Summer Equivalent to ART-4100.
