ART - 3104 Modern to Contemporary Art History (3) Examines modern through contemporary art history (19th-21st centuries), focusing on a few key centers of innovation in Europe, the United States, and Asia, paired with critical analysis of, and comparison to, the global art scene and the role of colonialism and imperialism. Provides an understanding of the role that context, innovation, theory, and content played in making art what it is today. Instructional Method: Lecture-Discussion.
