ANTH - 3400 Language and Culture (3) Provides a detailed overview of the way in which the language and culture of human groups affect each other. Focus is on the consequences of language diversity as a code, linked to a society, found in verbal interaction, and influenced by differences in power. Instructional Method: Offered in face-to-face and online formats. Semesters offered: Fall and Spring; Summer session. Prerequisite: Prerequisites: Take at least one course in ANTH, ANSO, or SOC course, or permission of instructor.
