MATH - 6171 History of Mathematics (3)

Covers mathematics and mathematicians from ancient to modern times, including the development of number theory, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, analysis, probability, topology, philosophy of mathematics, and the relationship of mathematics to other activities, including music, art, science, technology, and commerce. Equivalent to MATH-505. Prerequisites: take MATH-2137 , MATH-2292 .
