HONS - 2000 Interdisciplinary Social and Behavioral Sciences: Cognitive Science (3) This course is an introduction to the field of cognitive science-to understand how the mind works. To capture the interdisciplinary nature of the field, the course will address a range of topics, major theories and research findings from a variety of disciplines including psychology, behavioral economics, anthropology, sociology and political science as they relate to the study of mind. The course encourages innovative thinking beyond disciplinary boundaries by allowing students to explore the research findings and debates that have taken place within and across the disciplines that make up the field. Instructional Method: Lecture-Discussion. Terms Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer. To be eligible to take this course, students must have Honors College standing or advisor approval.
