CJUS - 4510 Contemporary Issues in Criminal Law (3) Provides an overview of contemporary criminal law by examining the origins, nature, purpose, substance and function of criminal law, as well as Constitutional limits, criminal liability, defenses, and sanctions. Explores the concepts of criminal law through an array of case law and scenarios. Culminates in a mock trial. Instructional Method: Hybrid Lecture, Lecture-Discussion, Online Lecture.
