The Psychology, B.A. , Psychology, B.A. with a Concentration in Forensic Psychology , Psychology, B.A. with a Concentration in Mindfulness Studies , and Psychology, B.A. with a Concentration in Pre-Clinical Psychology are open for enrollment. Additionally, students interested in this area, regardless of the degree program, may wish to pursue the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Minor .

Students with an interest in the area of industrial/organizational psychology may pursue the undergraduate major in Psychology with a concentration in industrial/organizational (I/O) psychology through the College of Education . The I/O concentration adds a focus upon the application of psychological principles in business settings. Graduates are prepared for employment in a variety of workplaces as well as for graduate study in I/O psychology. The curriculum is aligned with the 2013 American Psychological Association’s undergraduate psychology learning goals and provides many opportunities to gain the knowledge base, methods, values, skills, and applications in psychology; technological literacy; communication skills; socio-cultural and international awareness; and personal and professional growth.
Undergraduate students who expect to do graduate study in psychology should, with the assistance of their advisor, carefully select the courses that will qualify them for admission to a graduate program. Graduate programs commonly require 24 to 30 hours in undergraduate psychology, including statistics, research methodology, cognitive/learning, developmental psychology, personality theory, experimental psychology, social psychology, and abnormal psychology.
Special Admissions Requirements
In addition to meeting the university admission requirements, applicants must either have a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher or their G.P.A. for their last 60 hours must be a 2.0 or higher for admission to the program. Under special circumstances, consideration on a case-by-case basis will be made.
