Accelerated Professional Accounting Program B.S./M.S.


Effective Spring 2017 - The Accelerated Professional Accounting program is not accepting any new students. NOTE: The Accounting, B.S.  and the Accounting, M.S.  programs ARE open and ARE accepting new students.

Current students, please refer to the FAQ web page linked here to learn about the “teach out” process. Please meet with your Academic Advisor regarding your current Study Plan.

The Accelerated Professional Accounting program in the College of Business offers qualified high achieving students the ability to complete their BS and MS in Accounting degrees and meet the 150 credit-hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam in three years of full-time course work (2 + 1). Students in the graduate portion of this program will meet the same degree requirements as those in the MS in Accounting. See Accounting, M.S.  for more information.

Special Admission Requirements

Students enrolled in the Accelerated Professional Accounting program will apply for continuation to the graduate program at the beginning of the second year of undergraduate course work.

Continuing (Graduate) Student Admission Criteria

  • 3.25 cumulative GPA on GSU coursework
  • Completion of all university and college graduate admission requirements. Note: GMAT requirement may be waived for students meeting these requirements.
