MATH - 8623 Mathematical Modeling (3) An exploration of the applications of mathematics to the modeling of real-world phenomena. The students will rely on their knowledge of calculus, probability, combinatorics, and other mathematics to analyze data from real-world phenomena, describe the model using mathematical language (i.e. create a model), and analyze the model in order to understand the phenomenon. Prerequisites: take MATH-2294 , STAT-4219 , and MATH-6449 .
