EMED - 3333 Educational Linguistics (3) Emphasizes the genres and styles of professional writing as well as the modes of professional oral communication used by successful educators. Through inquiry and practice, students explore the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to use and teach written and oral communication effectively and to serve as positive role models school settings. Prerequisites: Earn a B or better in ENGL-1010 or equivalent; must be admitted to one of the Programs of the Educator Preparation Provider Unit, e.g. Elementary, Middle, Secondary, or Special Education.
