PADM - 7500 Seminar in Public Budgeting (3) Examines advanced questions about budgeting in government, including various revenues, expenditure, and debt. Emphasizes development of knowledge and skills necessary to prepare and defend a sound financial plan in the public sector, including understanding of essential concepts and rules of government accounting and the use of computer spreadsheets to analyze and present financial data. Also includes application of economic theories to government budget decisions. Equivalent to PADM-812. Prerequisite: take PADM-2100 or PADM 7100 , AND MGMT 6100 OR STAT 3700 .
