PSYC - 4520 Cognitive Development (3) Surveys the nature and course of human cognitive development from infancy to early adulthood. Content covers genetic, environmental and biological influences on development of mental processes such as vision and other perceptual abilities, attention, memory, language, problem solving and reasoning, and social cognition (thinking about social phenomena). Discussion of cultural influence on cognition is woven throughout. Prerequisite: take PSYC-2201 or PSYC-3201 and PSYC-3520 .
