POJS - 6120 Research Methods (3) Examines the uses and objectives of empirical research in the social sciences, the principle assumptions underlying the approaches, the fundamental paradigms and current trends in empirical social science research methodologies. The role of theory and research in research design as well emphasizes survey and methods of qualitative data collection and analysis using real-life examples, is also discussed. Equivalent to POJS-607. Prerequisite: take SOSC-4500 .
