LAS - 4125 Investigations in Scientific Thought (3) Examines the development of scientific concepts from the ancient Greeks to the present, focusing on how scientists think and work-their thought processes, their approaches to problem-solving, the roles of conjecture and intuition, and the role of serendipity. Contributions of individual scientists and schools of scientific thought are critically evaluated, and the importance of science in contemporary society is assessed. Equivalent to LAS-430.
