EDUC - 6423 Instructional Planning in Theory and Practice (1) This is one of a 3 Credit Hour pro-seminar series course for secondary education students. The role of instructor in the secondary education classroom is to design meaningful and intentional learning experiences in safe environments. Over a five-week session, teacher candidates will scaffold lesson planning components to connect theory to practice. To accomplish this, teacher candidates should have sound foundational knowledge in current educational research and be able to apply that scholarship into the construction of learning plans for their students. This course will also focus on instructional technology and remote learning strategies to prepare teacher candidates for remote instruction.
