MATH - 6111 Geometry and Measurement for Elementary Teachers (3) Focuses on teachers’ development with mathematical reasoning and conceptual understanding of major geometrical and measurement concepts, algorithms, procedures, connections, and applications, including topics of Euclidean geometry, transformations, identification and classification of geometrical representations, geometric measurement, axiomatic reasoning, coordinate geometry, and historical development and perspectives of geometry and measurement. This course meets the elementary specialist program requirements for mathematical content knowledge. Instructional Method: Offered: Hybrid, Online. Fall, Spring, Summer. Graduate student status. A Professional Educator’s License (PEL) and teaching experience equivalent to two full academic years. Instructor approval is required to enroll
