Explores nonprofit finance, addressing advanced questions related to fiscal performance and the viability of nonprofit organizations. It covers financial statement analysis, focusing on effectively interpreting and analyzing financial data. The decision-making tools to assess and manage various revenue streams are introduced, focusing on fundraising efficiency, profit margins, and contribution ratios. The cash flow projections, liquidity ratio, and viability analysis are presented, among other tools, to evaluate the fiscal health of nonprofits. Program cost and profitability analysis is emphasized to understand the true costs of nonprofit programs. The methods for long-term investment planning are introduced by studying capital budgeting, debt financing, and the use of capital markets. Finally, the course discusses effective reporting methods to demonstrate compliance and effectively communicate fiscal performance.   Instructional Method: Offered: Online. Fall, Spring.
