ANSO - 4500 Masculinities (3) Examines the cultural meanings and social constructions of masculinities-not just men-through sociological and anthropological theoretical lenses and methodological approaches. Explores masculinities through historical, structural, cultural, and interpersonal levels and in multiple sites, such as childhood, sexuality, the body, education and work, race, and social class. Instructional Method: Lecture-Discussion and Online. Terms Offered: Fall, Spring, and Summer. Prerequisite: ANSO-2100 or GNSX-2100 , plus one upper-division ANSO or SOC course. A research methods course such as SOC-3600 , ANSO-3600 , or ANTH-4610 highly recommended.
