SOCW - 4103 Management and Supervision in the Human Services (3) Selective methods course in management/social administration focusing on the classical and behavioral schools of management and covering the functions of planning, organizing, controlling, supervising, charting, communicating, designing, evaluating, leading, problem-solving, and decision-making. Examines the ethical dilemmas in administering not-for-profit health and human service programs in an ever-changing free market economy in the U.S. Students learn to analyze an organization and apply change and development strategies. Equivalent to SOCW-595. Prerequisite: SOCW-2100 , SOCW-3100 , SOCW-3099 , SOCW-3400 , SOCW-3500 , SOCW-3600 , and SOCW-3700 . Social Work Minors must take SOCW-3100 prior to enrolling.
