ENGL - 8580 Pro-Seminar in Literature for Young Adult Readers (3)

Investigates the variety of literatures available for young adult readers (middle school and high school students); examines criteria for the selection of literature for young adults, including the relationship to student interests, reading levels, quality of materials, and psychological, historical, cultural, political, and social issues; and addresses the evolving needs and interests of the middle school and the high school reader through intentional text selection. Instructional Method: Face-to-Face, Hybrid, Fully Online Fall/Spring/Summer Prerequisite: Undergraduate degree in English or related field.
