Explores the role of women within art history. Emphasis is on the lives and works of eminent female artists and the social, political, and artistic climate in which they worked. There will be an analysis of the thematic and stylistic development and theoretical concerns of female artists and a comparative analysis between gendered expressions in the visual arts.
