COUN - 8825 Advanced Family Systems Theory (3) Provides an in-depth study of major family counseling approaches. Examines systems concepts and theory as they relate to the family and larger sociocultural contexts, and explores how values at all levels (i.e., individual, family, professional, cultural, societal) affect the therapeutic system. Emphasizes the evaluation of modern and postmodern perspectives and social constructionism. Equivalent to COUN-825. Prerequisite: COUN-7725 .
