EDEC - 3371 Developmentally Appropriate Practices In ECE (4)

Study of developmentally appropriate teaching practices, i.e. age, individually, and culturally and socially appropriate in Early Childhood Education (ECE). Observe and assess the developmental appropriateness of an early childhood classroom. Introduction to writing developmentally appropriate early childhood lesson plans. Review instructional terminology as it relates to implementing appropriate early childhood teaching practices. Opportunities for students to work with technology. Requires field observations. Prerequisite: passage of the ILTS Test of Academic Proficiency (TAP) for Teacher Licensure candidates.
